Pokemon Dark Rising 2 Guide
Pokemon Dark Rising 2 Guide
Pokemon Dark Rising 2 is a fan-made rom hack of Pokemon Fire Red that continues the story of the first Dark Rising game. You play as the hero or heroine who is on a quest to rescue your father, free Arceus from its prison, and stop the evil Darugis from destroying the world. Along the way, you will encounter many challenges, enemies, and allies, as well as Pokemon from all generations up to the sixth. If you are looking for a guide to help you through this difficult and exciting adventure, you have come to the right place. In this article, we will provide you with some tips and tricks, as well as a walkthrough of the main story and side quests.
Tips and Tricks
Pokemon Dark Rising 2 is a very hard game, so be prepared to grind a lot and use items wisely. The level curve is steep and the enemies are ruthless. You will need a balanced and diverse team to overcome the various obstacles and bosses.
The game features a physical/special split, meaning that the type of an attack determines whether it uses the physical or special stat of the attacker and defender. For example, Fire Blast is a special attack that uses the special attack stat of the user and the special defense stat of the target. This makes some moves more or less useful than in the original games.
The game also features new moves, abilities, and items from later generations. Some Pokemon have different learnsets and evolution methods than in the original games. For example, Eevee can evolve into Sylveon by learning a Fairy-type move and having high friendship. You can find a list of all the changes in this [document].
The game has a day/night system that affects some events and Pokemon encounters. Some Pokemon can only be found at certain times of the day, such as Hoothoot at night or Espeon during the day. You can change the time by talking to your mom in your house.
The game has 12 gyms instead of the usual 8, and each gym leader has a team of 6 Pokemon with high levels and powerful moves. You will need to train hard and use effective strategies to defeat them. You can find a list of all the gym leaders and their teams in this [document].
The game has many side quests that you can complete for extra rewards and story elements. Some side quests are mandatory, while others are optional. You can find a list of all the side quests and how to complete them in this [document].
Walkthrough
The walkthrough will guide you through the main story of the game, from the beginning to the end. It will also cover some optional areas and events that you can explore along the way. The walkthrough will assume that you are playing on normal mode, which is recommended for beginners. If you are playing on hard mode, expect higher levels and stronger opponents.
